This rear extension build was part of a twin project in which we were contracted to transform two neighbouring homes to include a more functional living space. The project included a number of key features.

The layout of the home was completely changed and the kitchen, which was previously on the first floor of the home, was relocated to the ground floor in order to offer an open-plan solution where it could be combined with a dining area for better functionality and a more pleasant dining experience.

The extension was constructed using carefully sourced bricks to match the existing exterior of both homes. We built the extension with a pitched roof to maximise headroom and make it feel even more spacious and full-height windows were installed, matching the profile of the pitched roof and allowing for an incredible amount of natural light to enter the kitchen.

Once the extension build was complete, we set about installing underfloor heating, floor tiles and finally, fitting a beautiful kitchen chosen by the owners. The old kitchen space on the first floor was turned into a cosy bathroom with very efficient use of available space to make the adjacent bedroom larger.

Lastly, we carried out hard landscaping work and installed luxurious granite slabs on the rear patio.
