London Flat Conversions

For the past century, London has been one of the safest places in the world to invest in property. With the booming property market showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, many landlords and investors have found tremendous success by purchasing single-unit properties and converting them to accommodate multiple households. Flat conversions in London are becoming more and more popular, as the population continues to grow and living space remains scarce and costly.

You could see a significant boost in your income by choosing to go this route, with the opportunity to adapt your property to better suit smaller families, couples or even students. Flat conversions are a safe investment and best of all, are very simple to carry out, not requiring anywhere near as much work as a new build. They are quick and cost-effective, with a high probability of obtaining planning permissions.

You may also be looking to reverse this style of build, and instead turn a flat or maisonette into a single, larger property – and that’s fine too. Many property owners also choose to do this, purchasing a flat which at one point was converted and turning it back to it’s original design to accommodate a larger household.

How Much Will It Cost?

The cost of a flat conversion is relatively low when compared to the amount of extra money you will get when selling your property or renting to tenants. It is of course quite a substantial investment, but also one of the safest you can make. Due to the vast possibilities it’s impossible to give an accurate quote without first finding out what you have in mind for your very own flat conversion. We invite you to speak to one of our specialists, who will discuss your ideas with you to gain a better understanding of how much it will cost to bring them to life.

KPD and the team were amazing. The work was conducted to a very high standard. They were kind and were mindful of our living space minimising noise and disruption. The site was always left clean and they always turned up a little early so they could start on time, they never left early either. I would get a regular report on progress and they stuck to the price that was quoted. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do building work on our home.

We chose KPD to do our single storey rear extension. This involved demolishing an existing kitchen and lean-to conservatory and combining four rooms into one open-plan space. The builders worked hard to finish the work to the agreed schedule, despite extra work being added to satisfy building control. They were tidy and did not encroach upon our remaining living space. We were kept informed throughout the build and they were very responsive to any questions that I had. We were very pleased with the finish and intend to use them for future work on our property.
